About the Postsource crawler

Postsource is a job search dashboard. It reads the public job feeds that employers publish through their applicant tracking systems, so that someone looking for work can see every opening in one place.

What the crawler does

What it collects

Public job postings from the applicant tracking system feeds that employers publish for exactly this purpose. Titles, locations, posting dates and apply links. Nothing behind a login.

Cadence

Each active board is read at most once every 24 hours (NFR-003).

Concurrency

Never more than 5 outbound requests at once, across all boards (NFR-004).

On 429 or 503

Exponential backoff with jitter, at most 3 retries, then that board is left alone until the next day (REQ-011).

What it ignores

Personal data. Recruiter names and contact details are discarded before storage.

Contact and opt-out

Write to Jaden@mycompanions.app. That is the personal address of the person who operates Postsource, on another domain of theirs — it reaches a human directly rather than a support queue.

To have a board excluded, send the board URL to that address. We will stop reading it and confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.

If our traffic is causing you a problem right now, say so and we will stop first and work it out afterward.
